Just a quick update/prayer request. Julia, Amanda and I have all hit a slight road-block for language learning. The three of us were trying 
to get into the Winter quarter at a university here in Amsterdam for a Dutch as a Second Language program - but we have all been wait listed! Please pray that we would either somehow sneak into the course, or find something else soon...
With language learning in mind, I thought I'd pass along a blog I just found called Dutch Word of the Day. Check it out, and learn some Dutch with us!

i'm working on making a perfect chipotle dinner, when it's perfected you're invited over for dinner!
When our son was small, we visited Holmes County one fall weekend. An Amish family saw our son with Down syndrome, and invited us over for a visit, because they had a young first grade daughter with Down syndrome. While we were chatting in their living room, their daughter spoke to us in Pennsylvania Dutch (low German). They laughed, because she assumed we were bilingual, as she was.
